St. Pete officer catches baby thrown into traffic: arrest report

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A St. Petersburg man was accused of throwing his baby into traffic after snatching them out of his girlfriend’s SUV on Thursday.

St. Pete police said Treyvon Maynor, 21, pulled in front of the SUV on 34th Street South, using his bicycle to prevent it from moving.

He climbed into the backseat and put his hands around his girlfriend’s neck, attempting to choke her, according to an arrest report. Police said he battered one of her family members, told everyone in the vehicle that he was going to kill them, and then snatched the baby out of the SUV.

Maynor was accused of running from police, passing by multiple homes before running into traffic at the intersection of 34th Street South and 15th Avenue South with the baby on his shoulders. The arrest report said he threw the baby backwards and an officer caught them as they were falling to the ground…
