5 new swinging benches added to St. Pete’s beautiful waterfront parks

St. Pete’s award-winning waterfront just got even better. The City of St. Petersburg, in partnership with the Downtown Waterfront Parks Foundation and with generous support from the Majeed Foundation, has added five new swinging benches to its iconic park system. These latest additions are already some of the best spots in the city to enjoy a sunrise, take in skyline views, or relax along the bay. We believe these swings will become a beloved part of our community, offering a unique way to experience our beautiful waterfront.

The swings can be found at North Straub Park, Vinoy Park, Flora Wylie Park, and Coffee Pot Park. Each swing features a QR code that, when scanned, links to a survey. This survey enables residents and visitors to share their thoughts and ideas for future projects, helping the city continue to improve its parks for everyone’s enjoyment.

This project is a testament to the community’s ongoing commitment to preserving and enhancing St. Pete’s historic waterfront parks, a mission that began when the group was founded on October 31, 2012.

Stretching along Tampa Bay, St. Pete’s downtown waterfront parks system runs from Coffee Pot Park in the north to Lassing Park in the south. It has earned national recognition for its beauty and accessibility, ranked number one among Florida cities and 11th in the nation by the Trust for Public Land.
