Erin pulls away while Fernand waits in the wings

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A First Alert Weather heads up for the next several days as onshore flow and an increase in moisture will bring a timing change for rain.

Look for a good chance for showers and thunderstorms along the coast when you wake up over the next few mornings. We will see scattered showers mainly with a few thunderstorms moving in from the Gulf.

Some of the storms will bring some heavy rain at times. This pattern will again be around through the weekend with better chances for more widespread coverage on Saturday morning.

The rain chances will stay around 50% on Sunday and Monday with again a better chance for showers and storms along the coast in the morning.

ERIN will continue to move away from the U.S. east coast moving over some cooler waters where it will continue to weaken over the weekend…
