Manatee County, Florida, is breaking new ground in government efficiency and transparency with the establishment of its Legislative Affairs division. In a bid to foster direct communication between local government and state and federal partners, this new division is flexing its policy muscles, according to a recent social media outreach.
During an enlightening Manatee County, Florida Government Facebook post, Manatee County Government Relations Manager Brent Anderson and Legislative Aide Crosley Jones introduced the division’s focal points, including their efforts at crafting legislative priorities for 2026. “For the first time, dedicated staff are supporting our board to building direct relationships across local, state, and federal levels of government creating a more transparent, accountable, and effective system for residents,” they remarked in a showcase that perhaps unintentionally would serve as a bridge to a more informed citizenry.
