SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A cluster of storms in the tropical Atlantic showing signs of organizing and likely to become Gabrielle by the end of the week. The National Hurricane Center is now calling it Invest 92 AL That means we will see more forecast models projecting the path of this storm out for 5 days.
At this time it looks more and more likely that it will be a “fish” storm meaning it won’t have any impact on land, except possibly for Bermuda down the road. Most of the models turn it out to sea around the western edge of a high pressure system to its north.
We had a similar situation like this a couple of weeks ago when Invest 91AL was suppose to develop into the 7th named storm of the season but dry air and strong upper level winds never allowed it to become a storm.
