Man dies after being pulled from water by civilian at Sarasota beach

SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man died after he was found unresponsive while swimming at Siesta Key Beach on Sunday.

According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, at 2:21 p.m., deputies and EMS personnel responded to 514 Beach Road after an unresponsive male swimmer was pulled from the Gulf by a nearby civilian.

First responders attempted life-saving efforts but were unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene…
