77-year-old Villager arrested after ‘skip scanning’ at Walmart

A 77-year-old Villager was arrested after “skip scanning” in the self-checkout lane at a local Walmart.

Elvira Halloran of the Village of Duval was at the Walmart at Sarasota Plaza at about noon Sunday when she headed for the self-checkout aisle with four items in her cart, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
