National builder breaks ground at SeaFlower in Bradenton

A national builder has officially broken ground on two model homes at SeaFlower, a mixed-use community being developed in west Bradenton on more than 1,100 acres. M/I Homes is now selling townhouses and villas at the property, which previously operated as a flower farm.

“We’re thrilled to be breaking ground on our model homes in SeaFlower,” Greg Crawford, area president of M/I Homes, says in a statement. “This location is unbeatable — close to the beaches, major roadways and everything people love about coastal Florida living.”

M/I Homes will build 90 villas and 68 townhouses at SeaFlower ranging from 1,486 to 2,406 square feet, according to a statement. They will include two or three bedrooms, island kitchens and rear entry as well as flexible living spaces with options including dens, lanais and private courtyards. The homes will be priced from the high $300,000s.

The initial phase of development at SeaFlower will include more than 1,000 homes on 400 acres south of Cortez Road and west of 75th Street, the Business Observer previously reported…
