On Friday, the school board unanimously approved plans to help repurpose some school facilities to use the underutilized space. Those involve some elementary schools becoming K-8, adding programs like magnet and STEM, opening district offices on school campuses, and leasing space for childcare and youth programs that could also generate revenue.
