A new freestanding emergency room in north Manatee County is about a year from opening, after Manatee Memorial Hospital broke ground Nov. 13 at the site of its future ER in Parrish.
Called Manatee ER at Harrison Ranch, the more than 10,000-square-foot facility will be at the corner of Harrison Ranch Boulevard and US 301. It will include nine private rooms; a full-service laboratory; and CT, X-ray and ultrasound services. The facility will also provide outpatient imaging and lab services.
Physicians, nurses and support teams will staff the Manatee ER at Harrison Ranch, providing care for major emergencies and urgent conditions, treating everything from chest pains and stroke symptoms to broken bones and lacerations.
