Rezoning for plans by Lennar Homes to develop 683 acres by Buckeye Road, was unanimously approved Thursday by the Manatee County Planning Commission.
The land is expected to become more than 2,000 single-family homes and 15,000 square feet of public-use facilities – potentially for a fire department.
