SARASOTA, FL — The Shebeen Irish Pub & Kitchen will relocate from Siesta Key to 6607 Gateway Ave., Sarasota, FL 34231 with a targeted opening of February 1, 2026, owner Eileen Carrigan told Business Debut.
The pub is moving into the longtime former Sarasota Brewing Company building, a landmark structure now undergoing a full restoration after sitting vacant for several years.
What to Expect
The new space spans just over 4,000 square feet and will accommodate about 135 guests. The layout includes a main bar room with traditional Irish snugs and several additional dining rooms. Carrigan said the historic building’s wood siding, stone exterior, and large fireplace offered the warmth and character she had been searching for in a new pub location.
She noted that the move is driven by capacity limitations and access issues at the Siesta Key space. The island location often struggles with parking and crowding during live music nights and major events, leaving many guests unable to join. The mainland site will allow the team to host larger groups and welcome back customers who knew the pub before its move to the island.
Menu and Vision
The Shebeen will continue serving its signature Irish menu, including fish and chips, bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage, and holiday specials. Carrigan told Business Debut the larger kitchen will allow for more weekly entrée and appetizer specials, an opportunity they have not had in the smaller Siesta Key kitchen…
