After an acclaimed Sarasota restaurant closed earlier this year, a new dining and drinking concept will soon open at the same location, with one of the same owners from the previous establishment.
Mimi Brasserie & Speakeasy will open Monday, Dec. 1 in Southside Village, according to co-owner Edward Zaki. Along with Mimi, Zaki is also co-owner of 1592 Wood Fired Kitchen & Cocktails in downtown Sarasota, New Orleans eatery and fellow Southside Village business Lucky 8, and Adeline prior to its closure at Mimi’s current location.
Co-founding chef and co-owner Drew Adams originally opened Adeline, then under the name of Meliora, in 2022 before rebranding and bringing on Zaki in 2024.
