Sarasota man arrested on DUI charges after Thanksgiving crash in Port Charlotte

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — A Sarasota man was arrested on Thanksgiving after deputies say he rear-ended two cars stopped at a red light around 5 p.m. on U.S. Route 41 and Murdock Circle in Port Charlotte.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office says that Tydarian White, 37, was in a “daze” and that they could smell alcohol coming from his car, where they found an open Jack Daniel’s liquor bottle.

They said White started acting erratically and was hostile towards the other drivers involved in the crash, accusing them of trying to “collect a check” and yelling racial slurs…
