VENICE — Forty area churches teamed up to create 13,170 gift-filled shoeboxes that will go to children across the world.
The boxes for Operation Christmas Child were loaded into trucks Nov. 29 at Venice Church of the Nazarene under the guidance of project leaders Sue and Roger Burgett. Samaritan’s Purse has been overseeing the program since 1993.
