VENICE — “How is this bird ever gonna fly again?” Wildlife Center of Southwest Florida Executive Director Pamela DeFouw asked herself back in April, when she took in a severely injured bald eagle.
But now, “against the odds,” the eagle is back in the wild, where he belongs. DeFouw and others released him back to where he was rescued from over the weekend.
