ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A major step toward easing St. Petersburg’s affordable housing crisis began Thursday morning as crews broke ground on Pelican Place, a new 40-unit townhome community led by Habitat for Humanity.
The development, located off 18th Avenue South, will provide 40 first-time homeowners with a stable, long-term place to call home, a need Habitat leaders say has become more urgent than ever.
