35-year-old Bradenton pedestrian killed in fatal car crash, FHP says

A pedestrian died in a crash while attempting to cross a busy Bradenton road Monday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A passenger van, driven by a 41-year-old man from Bradenton, was traveling south on 14th Street West in the right lane near 28th Avenue West when a pedestrian entered his lane of traffic around 9:12 p.m., a release from the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The pedestrian, a 35-year-old man from Bradenton, was standing on the sidewalk before he entered the travel lanes, a crash report said. The vehicle collided with the pedestrian, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release…
