Woman who mixed Mudslides and pills arrested at Lake Sumter Landing

A woman who admitted to mixing Mudslides and pills was arrested at Lake Sumter Landing in The Villages.

Laurel Beth Robbins, 74, of Bradenton, was pulled over at about 6 p.m. Monday at Old Mill Run and Buena Vista Boulevard, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

She was asked if she had been drinking and she admitted she’d had, “A few.” The Philadelphia native said she had met a friend and consumed wings and two Mudslide alcoholic beverages at about 3 p.m. that day at Cody’s Original Roadhouse at Lake Sumter Landing. She also revealed she had taken Losartan for blood pressure and Zoloft for nerves earlier in the day.

She agreed to take part in field sobriety exercises, but performed poorly. She provided breath samples that registered .000 blood alcohol content…
