Clearwater woman killed, man injured after PSTA bus runs red light: FHP

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A Clearwater woman was killed, and a man was injured after a Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority bus ran a red light in St. Petersburg on Saturday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The PSTA bus was traveling west on Roosevelt Boulevard and stopped at a red light at the intersection with Lake Carillon Drive. FHP said the driver, a 38-year-old Pinellas Park man, then made a left turn, despite still having a red light.

The crash site was around a half-mile away from the PSTA office, and it’s unclear if the bus had any passengers on it.
