Plans have been submitted to Manatee County to renovate and expand the Rocky Bluff Branch Library in Ellenton, a long-standing community hub located at 6750 U.S. 301.
The proposal calls for renovations to the existing library and construction of a new single-story, 7,716-square-foot building. The new addition would be built to the northeast of the current structure.
The 4.36-acre property will remain largely unchanged, with no increase in impervious surface and no impacts to a nearby wetland northwest of the site. Utilities and stormwater systems will continue to be provided through existing county infrastructure…
