SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A 62-year-old Suncoast content creator is showing that every age presents opportunities to try something new.
Lorraine Ladish, the woman behind Viva Fifty, has built a career around challenging age-related expectations. From perfecting handstands in her 50s to achieving unassisted pull-ups in her early 60s, Ladish sets goals by decade.
She is a certified yoga instructor (RYT 500) and a former fitness instructor, and shes been moving her body, dancing, and pushing her limits since she was young. Ladish said. “I originally started for mental health reasons, but as I’ve gotten older, movement has also become about staying mentally sharp, mobile, and physically healthy.”
Setting goals by decade
Ladish’s approach involves setting specific targets for each phase of her life. In her early 30s, she focused on publishing books. Her 40s brought the challenge of running a half-marathon. In her 50s, she learned to do a freestanding handstand and took improv and acting classes…
