“We Want Justice!” Hundreds rally in Sarasota after Minneapolis ICE agent fatally shoots woman

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Hundreds of activists gathered at Bayfront Park on Saturday to protest the fatal shooting of a U.S. citizen by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in Minneapolis.

The demonstration was part of a nationwide “ICE Out For Good” weekend of action following the death of Renee Nicole Good, 37, who was shot and killed by an ICE agent during an enforcement operation on January 7.

Good, a mother of three and Minnesota resident, was killed when an ICE agent fired multiple shots into her vehicle as she tried to drive during enforcement action. Federal officials have defended the agent’s actions as self-defense, but videos of the incident have fueled criticism and charges of excessive force…
