A judge has reserved ruling on a motion that hoped to reduce the bail amount for a Naples driver accused of leaving the scene of a fatal crash.
Jelekzey Gamboa Thiele, 42, faces one count of leaving the scene of a fatal crash in the Sept. 14, 2025, death of John Douglas Thomas, 41, of North Port. During a Jan. 12 motions hearing, Collier Circuit Judge Joseph Foster did not reach a decision on a requested amendment to Gamboa Thiele’s bond amount.
