One of St. Pete’s most popular foodie festivals is back and bigger than ever this weekend, bringing two days of authentic tacos, premium margaritas and great live music to Vinoy Park. The St Pete Tacos & Tequila Festival makes its grand return on Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18, featuring dozens of taco vendors, lucha libre wrestling, live bands, live mural paintings, and even a taco-eating competition.
The sprawling two-day festival is one of the region’s biggest food and drink festivals. In addition to 100+ taco options, there will also be tons of craft margaritas, palomas, and other cocktails, as well as tons of Mexican and local craft beer. In fact, a pair of local favorites will give the bars a little St. Pete flair, with Tequila Daisy preparing specialty tequila cocktails and 3 Daughters Brewing offering their latest craft beer, hard cider, and flavored vodka + sodas. Festivities run from 12 to 8 pm each day.
General admission tickets are in three tiers this year. Entry before 2 pm is completely free, but you must RSVP in advance. Entry between 2-5 pm is $7, and entry after 5 pm is $12. As always, kids 13 and under get in free.
There are also two VIP ticket options available. The VIP Tequila Daisy Tickets ($39 in advance, $45 day-of) come with exclusive access to the VIP with extra amenities, six curated cocktail tastings (available until 6 pm), a private tent area with tables, an executive air-conditioned restroom trailer, and an additional private beer and cocktail bar with craft cocktails. The VIP area also includes additional food options, a tequila bar, and a frozen drinks bar…
