A frontal boundary will move across Sarasota and Manatee counties this morning into the afternoon, bringing showers and gusty winds that will intensify throughout the day. Temperatures will drop during the day.

Wind is the main concern this afternoon. Breezy winds will develop this morning from the west and southwest, then shift to the north and northwest behind the front. Gusts will reach 25 to 30 mph this afternoon, with some areas experiencing even stronger gusts. These winds could knock over trash cans, bring down tree branches, and make driving — especially in high-profile vehicles — difficult.

Temperatures will plummet Sunday evening into Monday morning as cold, dry air moves in behind the front. The Suncoast is under a Cold Weather Advisory due to dangerous wind chills.
