A well-known south Sarasota County sub shop owner branched into the world of family-friendly sports bars when he opened Wings Etc. Grill & Pub earlier this month at 415 U.S. 41 Bypass N., Venice — the site of a former Burger King, just south of Hotel Venezia.
The opening marks the first Florida franchise of a restaurant chain that got its start in Mishawaka, Indiana, in 1994.
