A 62-year-old Virginia man died Thursday after his motorcycle collided with a dump truck at a Manatee County intersection, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 12:16 p.m. at Creekside Park Drive and Golf Course Road in Parrish, FHP said.
Troopers said the motorcyclist and a dump truck were traveling west on Golf Course Road when the motorcyclist slowed as he approached the intersection, then moved into the eastbound lane to pass the truck.
