Towles Court sale blow to arts scene
According to a Herald-Tribune article, the courtyard at Towles Court is up for sale at $725,000 (“Beloved Towles Court courtyard in downtown Sarasota for sale,” Jan. 19).
Just off Washington Boulevard, Towles Court may be the closest thing Sarasota has to Greenwich Village in New York City.
But high rents have pushed many artists away and uptown to the Lime Avenue area…
