Showers early, then a sharp and lasting cold blast

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Today, a cold front will be moving through the area. Showers will be most likely during the morning hours as the front pushes from northwest to southeast, clearing the region by late afternoon.

Temperatures will start out mild early today but will steadily fall as cooler air moves in behind the front, and skies will gradually clear later in the day.

Late today into tonight, much colder air pours in on gusty northerly winds. By late tonight and Tuesday morning, temperatures will drop sharply, with freezing conditions developing across much of the region to our north…
