Video: Ice and snow flurries seen across Southwest Florida amid historic freeze

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Snow flurries fell early Sunday morning as a historic cold front, with the coldest air in 15 years, swept freezing temperatures into parts of Southwest Florida.

Snowflakes were sparse and spotty, with no accumulation. Possible flurries were captured on camera by Gulf Coast News viewers from Lehigh Acres to Cape Coral.

Cape Coral

The National Weather Service confirmed that snow flurries mixed with rain likely fell through Cape Coral Saturday night.

Lehigh Acres/Hendry County

Possible snow flurries were spotted near the Lehigh Acres/Hendry County line. The bitter cold also brought in icicles.
