The Honey Baked Ham Co. Is Headed to Venice

“1957, when Harry J. Hoenselaar opened the first Honeybaked store in Detroit, Michigan, like most great companies, he did so because he believed in an idea,” says the website of the Honey Baked Ham Co., a meat shop (and lunch spot) with more than 40 locations in Florida alone. “An idea that produced what is regarded today as the world’s best ham. Using the highest quality bone-in smoked ham, Harry created a special curing and cooking procedure, bringing out a one-of-a-kind taste that can only be described as perfection.”

As the Honey Baked Ham Co. has grown to become a household name, the franchise has opened stores all over the country, with a total of about 500 units now in the network.

And now, its preparing to open a new location in Venice, just in time for spring. A new Honey Baked Ham Co. will launch at 527 US 41 Bypass N, with a soft opening planned for March 23, and with a Grand Opening to follow in April…
