St. Petersburg man dies after being struck by vehicle

ST. PETERSBURG, Florida — Larry Darnell Brown, a 61-year-old resident of St. Petersburg, has died from injuries sustained in a pedestrian-involved traffic crash late Sunday.

Brown was crossing 4th Street South from east to west shortly after 9 p.m. on February 8 when he entered the path of a southbound white 2025 Kia K4 sedan near the 1700 block, according to a press release. He was not using a marked crosswalk at the time. The impact left Brown with life-threatening injuries, and he was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries early on February 9.
