Generation Englewood, a new apartment community, is coming soon to East Englewood in South Sarasota County.
Kaplan Residential, a firm known for multifamily and build-to-rent developments across the Southeast, picked up nearly 20 acres at 201 Pine St., right at the corner of Crestwood Road and Pine Street, for $5.3 million. The previous owners, Jay and Premala Raja, bought the land back in 1999 for $1.1 million.
Construction started in 2024, and once finished, Generation Englewood will feature 306 rental units spread across five three-story buildings, covering more than 308,000 square feet.
