Montgomery Gentry is an American country music duo/solo act founded by singers Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry, known for number one hits like If You Ever Stop Loving Me, Something to Be Proud Of, and Back When I Knew It All.
Gentry died in a 2017 helicopter crash at the age of 50. While maintaining his solo career, Montgomery (brother of country star John Michael Montgomery) has also continued touring with the backing band under the Montgomery Gentry name.
