Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision Monday in Manatee County that resulted in the death of a pedestrian and a driver fleeing the scene.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:49 pm, a vehicle was traveling west on 60th Ave West, approaching a marked crosswalk, near the entrance/exit for Publix.
