SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A $15 million road extension project approved by Sarasota County commissioners is drawing mixed reactions from residents, with some excited about improved access while others worry about flooding.
The Sarasota County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the Manasota Beach Road extension in August. The project will connect Eaglewood to Wellen Park with the main goal of decreasing traffic to the beach.
