A 64-year-old man was killed after stopping his car on the interstate in Sarasota on Wednesday, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said.
A 1999 Peterbilt tractor trailer was traveling south on Interstate 75 in the right travel lane at 8:55 a.m., approaching mile marker 202. The pedestrian parked his car within the paved shoulder and stood next to his car.
