Water restrictions tightening as drought continues

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Southwest Florida Water Management District has tightened water restrictions as drought conditions continue across the region.

The March 24 order, called a Modified Phase III “Extreme” Water Shortage, requires all residents — including those on private wells — to follow one-day-per-week lawn watering restrictions, along with stricter watering hours.
