PARRISH, Fla. (WWSB) – A bomb threat prompted a lockdown at Williams Elementary School Monday afternoon, with some parents waiting up to two hours to be reunited with their children.
The threat was made earlier in the afternoon. Dozens of parents arrived at the school just before 3 p.m., filling cars as they tried to get close enough to see what was happening.
Crowds of parents waited for updates and to see their children walk out of the school. Employees escorted students out a few at a time. Some parents waited upwards of two hours, with some of that time spent in pouring rain…
