Rubber ducks ready to race in North Port

NORTH PORT — The North Port Area Chamber of Commerce hold its inaugural Rubber Duck Race from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 10 at the North Port Aquatic Center.

This event is designed to bring together children, residents, businesses and visitors for an evening of community spirit for a great cause, said Bill Gunnin, the North Port Chamber’s executive director.

Participants can “adopt” a rubber duck for a chance to win prizes. Hundreds of bright-yellow ducks will race down the Aquatic Center’s slide, around the Lazy River and to the finish line…
