BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – Opening statements are scheduled Monday morning in the trial of 38-year-old Thomas Matejcek, who is accused of killing his mother and her boyfriend in 2023.
Matejcek faces two first-degree murder charges. He was recently ruled competent to stand trial after months of back-and-forth over his mental fitness.
