SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Monday was dry near the coastal areas with no rain reported at SRQ. But the east side of Lakewood Ranch picked up 0.70”, and just 85 miles east of SRQ, Sebring picked up 4.62”.
The Suncoast will start Tuesday with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Rain amounts will be fairly light, with the greatest accumulations on the east side of Florida. Showers are possible for the afternoon. Expect mostly cloudy skies with northeast winds gusting around 25 mph, making it a windy day for outdoor plans. The high will be in the mid-70s.
Wednesday gusty Northeast winds continue. A few showers and thunderstorms are still possible into the afternoon, but rain totals will be minimal. Northeast winds will be particularly strong, gusting up to 30 mph. The high will reach the upper 70s.
