SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A 34-year-old woman from New Port Richey was killed in a crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 75 in Sarasota County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the crash happened around 12:08 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-75 near mile marker 178.
Investigators say the woman was driving a pickup truck towing a trailer loaded with sod when the vehicle stopped in the right travel lane. At some point, two passengers got out of the truck to check on a possible issue with the trailer…
