Apollo Beach Man Ejected And Killed After Riverview High-Speed Rear-End Collision

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A Friday evening drive turned fatal in Hillsborough County when a high-speed collision left one driver dead and another shaken but unhurt.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on April 10, 2026, at approximately 7:52 PM on a northbound stretch of US-301.

State troopers report that a 31-year-old man from Apollo Beach was traveling north in a BMW sedan when he approached a Ford Escape driven by a 40-year-old Riverview woman. As the two vehicles moved north of Shady Preserve Drive, the BMW attempted to overtake the Ford but instead slammed into its rear bumper…
