TAMPA, Fla. (WWSB) – The woman accused of killing her ex-husband in Parrish and ex-boyfriend in Tampa on the same day could face the death penalty, the state attorney’s office said Tuesday.
A notice of intent to seek the death penalty was filed in Hillsborough County against Susan Avalon, who is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of her 55-year-old ex-boyfriend in Tampa.
Avalon is also accused of shooting her ex-husband to death in Manatee County on Dec. 17, 2025. That case will be prosecuted separately in Manatee County at a later date…
