SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Sunday is a “Heads Up” Day. Scattered showers and storms are likely Sunday afternoon. Expect showers and thunderstorms mainly after 2 p.m. Dangerous lightning, some heavy downpours, and gusty winds are possible Sunday afternoon.
Afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms will be possible each day next week. By midweek, atmospheric moisture will moderate slightly, and while storms remain in the forecast, rain coverage is expected to be less widespread by Thursday.
Winds will remain light to moderate throughout the period, generally from the east and southeast, with shifts to the southwest in the afternoons.
