SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A Sarasota man is accused of trying to lure two girls into his pickup truck while they were riding their bicycles near South Tamiami Trail, according to Sarasota police.
Edward O’Neil Jr., 67, was arrested Monday night after police said an arrest warrant was issued in the case. He faces two third-degree felony charges of attempting to lure or entice a child under 14.
The girls, ages 12 and 13, were riding their bicycles on the sidewalk along Bay Road, approaching U.S. 41, at about 6 p.m. May 16, according to a probable cause affidavit.
