Kingsbridge: Man Assaults Two Female Police Officers at 50th Pct & is Punched Repeatedly & Arrested

A 36-year-old man was arrested in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx on Thursday afternoon, June 4, after two female police officers were assaulted inside the 50th Precinct stationhouse, police said.

An NYPD spokesperson said that at around 12.55 p.m. on June 4, “A male individual entered the vestibule of the 50 Precinct station house and, without provocation, punched a 31-year-old female police officer in the back, causing pain to her back. The individual then punched a 51-year-old female police officer in the head, causing a contusion.”

The spokesperson said the assailant subsequently fled the location on foot and was apprehended in front of 226 West 238th Street. “While officers were attempting to place the individual under arrest, he resisted arrest and punched a 28-year-old male police officer in the head,” the spokesperson added. “As a result, the officer sustained lacerations to his right hand and suffered pain to his left knee and right elbow.”

Police said Wilton Pena, 36, of Southern Blvd in the South Bronx was arrested and charged the same day at 1.02 p.m. in the confines of the 50th Precinct: They said he was charged with 6 counts of assault, three counts of menacing, three counts of disorderly conduct and three counts of harassment…
