Staten Island faces a significant flooding threat Monday afternoon into Monday night, with the potential for heavy downpours, urban flooding and isolated severe thunderstorms.
Sunday itself will be relatively calm, with only isolated showers possible in the afternoon. On Monday, however, the National Weather Service has identified the New York City metro area, including Staten Island, as being at risk for excessive rainfall.
